Go to places where expats spend time for recreation and business. Otherwise, advertise yourself on the streets with a placard saying, “I am an American looking for Americans”.

the us embassy makes alot of activities and many pubs and cafes i go i see americans

Yes, check your Embassy, I contact in Switzerland another Mexicans thruh my Embassy they have all kind of information (clubes, schools, restaurants, etc.)
You can find people too, if you take tours, or language courses.
