Restaurants in amman: i recommend reem al bawadi. People n jordan r friendly, open minded. you'll love it. -ve point that since fuel is so expensive (> 1$/L) makes everything expensive. To be honest I personally wouldnt pick these 2 destinations for go with little kids... Aqaba is a nice vacation spot for families. The kids can play with the water. The weather is hot in Aqaba most all year round there. The dead sea is another nice place for families to go. Petra is beautiful, but to me its a place for older kids and adults. Jerash is another beautiful place , but again there is so much walking involved, its a mini town in itself.
