Will Jordan stamp my passport, when flying NYC to Tel Aviv (via Amman)?

April 21st, 2009 · 2 Comments

Dennis – asked:

I am flying from NYC to Tel Aviv (with a five hour layover in Amman). Does this require going through Jordanian immigration control, if I am on a connecting flight?

Since I will request Israeli customs to stamp a separate piece of paper) I do not want to be left with “unaccounted” time in my passport… with a Jordanian exit and entry stamp.

I am hoping that I can avert a Jordanian stamp altogether, since I only have layovers there … to minimize issues with entering Lebanon.

Yes, I am aware Lebanon will not grant me entrance w/ Israeli stamps. That is why I am asking my question. I am flying from NYC (through Amman) – Tel Aviv – (through Amman) – Beirut.

Please answer ONLY with firsthand knowledge. I do NOT need opinions. thanks!

If you will not leave the airport and go out, you don’t need any stamp or visa, because you are in transit zone, also in Lebanon if you will be stay in the transit zone, no body will check your passport.
