Amman has a number of good state universities, and decent private universities. For most topics related to engineering, medicine, business (to a lesser extent), and English Literature (of course) most courses are in English. So, the English is not a problem if you are looking for a college course in these topics. If you are looking into other topics, it may not be as easy.
To apply, you can contact the universities directly. I recommend two universities: Jordan University English (www.ju.edu.jo). And Princesses Sumaya University for Technology (www.psut.edu.jo)
